Rave Reviews Book Club - What's in it for me?

How often before you agree to do something, do you ask yourself, ‘what’s in it for me?’?

How often before you join a group or club, do you ask yourself, ‘what’s in it for me?’?

Never? I don’t believe you. There are very few people who are truly altruistic and therefore, I think before any of us embark upon a new task, the one question we ask is ‘what’s in it for me?’

I know that when I joined Rave Reviews Book Club, I asked myself that very question. I looked at the website and could see people talking about increased sales and reviews and I thought, ‘Wow, that’s what I need. I’ll join.’

And join I did.

One of the things I did receive upon joining was a copy of ‘Sugarcoatin is for candy, pacifyin is for kids,’ by Nonnie Jules (Author and Rave Reviews president). When I read it my eyes were truly opened to what Rave Reviews is all about.

It is about support.

It is about asking, ‘What can I do for others?’

It’s about the feeling of warmth in the pit of your stomach when someone you pushed, through social media, gets a boost.

If all this sounds like the support you would like to give, as well as receive why not sign up?

  4. Hi, there. Your post is very personal and very true. I joined RRBC very recently (4 days ago) and you were one of the first members to follow me on Twitter. :-) You're a generous, caring person like the other memberes of this awesome club. THAT is the key to RRBC's success. :-)
    Thank you, all!

  5. Jo, I loved it! Now, would you please include in your blog and "ask" that they all go and vote for you on the RRBC site? Someone has to win that "SPOTLIGHT" SO why shouldn't it be you? You are one of our uber-supportive members and so you are quite deserving of the honor. Good luck in the contest!
